Swim Ireland's Swim for a Mile Challenge was set up to encourage people to get back into the water and to increase physical activity amongst the public in Ireland.
We came up with the Swim for a Mile Challenge as a goal which people could aspire to completing and hopefully then after this they will be encouraged to keep swimming after the event.
To help you complete the challenge Swim Ireland have designed specific swimming programmes to help you reach the mile goal in 12 weeks for weaker swimmers and 8 weeks for stronger swimmers.
The Challenge will be run across Ireland
