Dr David Cosgrove BDS and Dr Karen Cosgrove BDS opened Portlaoise Dental in December 2010.

Originally from Co. Down, both qualified from Queens University, Belfast. David in 2005 and Karen, a year later, in 2006. They then spent some time working in the Dumfries and Galloway area of Scotland before returning to settle in Ireland in Jan 2010. David and Karen married in 2007 and have three beautiful little boys.

Keeping abreast of current thinking in dentistry is very important to us and David and Karen often attend courses and lectures to help keep up-to-date.

Dr Helena Joy BDS joined the Portlaoise Dental team in February 2014. Originally from County Kerry, Helena is a keen Munster rugby fan and is a founding member of the Munster Rugby supporters choir. Helena is a great believer in life-long learning and frequently attends courses to keep her skills and knowledge up-to-date.
