Blue Insurance Limited was established in October 2003 by Joint Managing Directors Ciarán Mulligan and Rowan Devereux, initially focusing on the travel insurance market through the Travel Trade. Within a year Blue Insurances became the leading supplier of travel insurance through the Travel Trade in Ireland.

In March 2005, we opened our UK office and commenced operations within the UK and Northern Ireland Travel trade picking up significant business after a short period. David Moore joined the company in 2005 as our IT Director managing a great technology team. Blue Insurance technology and websites are all developed in house. In 2006 Blue Insurance Limited developed a new distribution arm with our online white label booking sites which has proven very successful.

A year later, Blue Insurance Limited started developing other Insurance Products such as Wedding Insurance, Motor Breakdown Cover and Car Hire Excess Insurance. Blue Insurance Limited's vision is to lead the Travel Industry with a comprehensive product, quality customer service, competitive rates and the latest technology, enabling all our Travel Agents and Tour Operators to have the easiest and quickest solution when booking Blue Insurance Limited’s Products.

Our new Call Center facility will allow us to offer more facilities and greater flexibility including longer opening hours. Our new insurance products coming in 2010 will include Pet, Marine, Home and Motor Insurance which will be discounted for the travel trade. Blue Insurance Limited also arranges Insurance Bonding, Travel Agents/Tour Operators Office, Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance at very competitive prices. In October 2008, Blue Insurance Limited won Best Travel Insurance Supplier in Northern Ireland and we are delighted to have won the Award showing our continued support for the Travel Trade. We have been voted Best Travel Insurance Product for the past three years by the Irish Travel Trade. Our Travel team is well known for their great service and support to the trade.
