Engineering courses at AIT involve both theory-based leaning and practical application demonstrated through laboratory and project work. Courses offered within the School prepare students to use their technical knowledge and skills in an industrial environment. Students have full access to specialist laboratories, as well as the institute’s extensive computer facilities.
A new state-of-the-art Engineering and Informatics Building opened in 2010, which positions AIT as a best-in-class provider of engineering programmes. The 11,000 square metre facility is a landmark on campus and has greatly enhanced the teaching, learning and research environment for our students, through world class delivery and cutting-edge technologies. Almost every classroom is wired for both-way remote transmission. Furthermore, this creates a platform for up-skilling and continuous professional development for those engineers who are already in employment.
