Four Points by Sheraton Surabaya 4.81

Nestled on the shore of East Java, Surabaya is Indonesia’s second-largest city. Explore the capital of East Java, home to a fascinating array of historic sites, architecture, and diverse culture. Situated in “old Surabaya,” the House of Sampoerna is a top attraction. Built in 1862, this preserved Dutch colonial-style compound is home to a museum, an art gallery, a café, a souvenir shop, and a production plant for making Dji Sam Soe, Indonesia’s most prestigious hand-rolled kretek cigarette. Admire stunning views by taking a lift to the top of the tower at Masjid Al Akbar Surabaya, the city’s largest mosque, renowned for its blue-green domes. Featuring lovely glass panels and a tranquil setting, the historic landmark of Gereja Kelahiran Santa Perawan Maria is the oldest church in Surabaya. The Ampel Mosque and its Arabic Market, the Chinese Mosque ChengHo, and the giant dragon statues at Kenjeran Beach are also nearby.

Take a day excursion to see one of East Java’s most famous attractions, the volcanic Mount Bromo in Bromo Tengger Semaru National Park. The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Trowulan, containing the archaeological remains of Majapahit Kingdom, is also fascinating.
