By paying loving homage to rich heritage of cuisines from the Asian subcontinent, BlackSalt is a small boutique restaurant located in a beautiful space in Hong Kong, where Chef-Owner Taran Chadha has preserved traditional recipes and adopted innovative techniques to bring a progressive approach to modern food.
The menu is concise and lists short eats – from herbed meat roasts to spiced vegetable fillings laden with a variety of masalas, karis or sambals all bursting with intense flavours of spicy, savoury, sweet and sour. Each dish is accompanied with a choice of sourdough flatbreads, sorghum rotis, authentic hoppers or wok-cooked pilaf rice served with a selection of sharp pickles, homemade chutneys and crunchy greens.
