Kalymnos Rescue Team 3.42

Kalymnos Rescue Team was formed by the initiative of two local businesses:

Alternet Greece, an expert business on Tourism
Marketing and local touristic Product Development and

WILDSPORT, local business specializing in climbing gear, which has provided the Rescue Team with the necessary equipment. WILDSPORT is the team's current official grand sponsor.

Kalymnos Rescue Team has the full support of the Hellenic Mountaineering and Climbing Federation, in terms of proper training in climbing and rope rescue. The team's technical members have been given a two weeks training in rope rescue, by a certified instructor of the federation.

The Petzl Foundation also welcomed the initiative of the team formation and offered its
support to the technical team of 6 rescuers, with
an additional 5-day training from Lyon, UK.

The team comprises of 4 trained technicians volunteer rescuers and 16 auxiliary volunteers and offers its services free to those who are in need. More members are constantly trained in order to create a strong technical core within the team.

The team keeps going only with donations and the efforts of it's volunteers and those who support it.
