Imagine having a body that looks young and feels young; a body that is strong and healthy enough to allow you to get on with the things in life that you enjoy most. No more aches, no more pains, no more problems, that, through neglect, you know will only get worse with age! Once you become strong and flexible enough to do a certain pose correctly, there is no point in doing it anymore. You simply progress and move on. Have no doubt about the amazing feelings that you will experience when you re-own a part of your body that you have become unattached from, in some cases, for many years.
So, hello, I'm Mirela! I am a certified yoga teacher and I offer a blend of Zen Ki Yoga Therapy & Vinyasa Flow. I have been practising yoga since 2006 and have been teaching it professionally since 2014. Yoga has helped me enormously to overcome disease, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues and anger. It has helped me accept myself and find my place in the world.
Many have asked me what YOGA is. Of course, YOGA is a Science that combines breathing, meditation & relaxation techniques with physical movement through asanas or postures.
To me, yoga is a simple concept. Yoga is JOY. Yoga is LOVE. Yoga is a HUMAN RESET button. Yoga takes the pressure off. Yoga helps us reconnect to ourselves and to others.
It is a fact that life is, sometimes, harder than we expect, and none of us makes it out of it alive. So Yoga comes an opportunity to all, regardless of age or size or problems or situations. Yoga reintegrates everything. It puts it all back together. It uplifts and inspires.
Through its compassionate, non-competitive and honest nature, yoga is an instrument that provides clarity to the mind, freedom to the body and peace to the heart.
When done well, a yoga session provides all of us with a sense of being back home, inwards, to ourselves. We feel calmer, more focused and definitely more alive and present. By turning the focus inwards, through breathing correctly, we become able to isolate the outside disturbances and filter them through our own awareness, so that we can separate the essential from the non essential and begin to appreciate, respect and value ourselves, to embrace ourselves fully, with empathy.
This way, yoga becomes a tool to self-discovery and to what is actually important to us. Yoga supports self-growth through mindfulness, clarity and physical work, so that you can go on and live the life that you wish.
Yoga helps build the courage to make all the changes you need in order to face the world, to reintegrate yourself into the world as is, and to be brave enough to develop into the best version of yourself by making conscious lifestyle choices which are beneficial to you, to those around you , your environment and every sentient being. Yes, yoga can do that. It has been around for 5000 years, so it works, tested and tried.
