Message from the Dean

Dear Students,

This is my first semester with you after 40 years of experience in leadership, teaching and research offerings. Our mission is to educate, inspire and engage students in Alexandria, Egypt and the world. With our active partnerships with prestigious research institutions and continuing outreach to educational Centers of Excellence will place Pharos- College of Arts and Design at the forefront of education in our time.

Our vision is to assure our graduates a placement in an industry or business related to their field of interest. A long term relationship is being developed with firms, companies, businesses, governmental and NGO organizations. It is our focus to develop our graduates to be a first class candidate for hire including interns, co-ops or permanent active employees and apply their knowledge and skills gained during their years of studies. However, we want to develop our students to become entrepreneurs who will be working for others or themselves.

The goal of this office is to implement programs and research to reach a top quartile of best-in-class education with practical project applications within Pharos- College of Arts and Design. We are growing with a strategic plan that will make us ranked among the top educational institutions in Egypt and the Region. This can be achieved by the collaborative effort and contribution from students, faculty and staff.

Our students are number our priority and our faculty are here to make a difference. We achieve progress by encouraging critical thinking and social interaction. Resources are available to help students make the most of their workday. We will make information available and answer your questions in a speedy way. With an open door policy you can reach us and will update you through available communication means including emails, so we encourage you to keep this line of communication open.
I am honored to start to serve you and the management of Pharos University. If you have not been to our campus, please visit us for a tour or participate in any of our upcoming programs, events, exhibitions and local and international conferences. We want you to be part of our success and your educational and career advancements. If you can’t reach us, for any reason, we will reach you through future long-distance-learning programs and we will partner with you one way or another.
We pledge to provide attention, quality instruction, research and means to employment opportunities. I am looking forward to meet and implement all the advances coming our way in the new academic year and beyond.
