Energy Materials Laboratory - AUC 2.6

The development of renewable, low cost energy technologies is a key scientific challenge for the 21st century. The energy materials laboratory (EML) is focused on designing, synthesizing, and understanding materials for their application in solar energy conversion and storage. Specific interests include the synthesis and study of photoelectrocatalysts for water oxidation with defined nanoscale structures, the use of computer simulation and direct electrical measurements to understand semiconductor/photoelectrocatalyst interfaces, and the development of high-performance semiconductor solar conversion architectures using scalable and inexpensive fabrication processes.
