Hostel El Encuentro is a small eco-hostel offering resort-like luxury at backpacker’s prices.

We are located in the pretty lakeside town of Guatapé, Colombia, less than 2 hours from Medellín. The hostel is situated on a spacious property overlooking the town, its gorgeous lake, and the famous El Peñon rock, yet we are only a 10 minute walk from the town center. We offer guests the chance to get away from the noise and pollution of city life, while still having easy access to the town's famous cuisine, nightlife, and the many outdoor attractions and activities in the area.
