HOW CAN I HELP YOU?
USING ADVANCED 3D TECHNOLOGY YOU WILL BE ABLE TO VISUALIZE YOUR HOUSE INSIDE AND OUT THROUGHOUT THE DESIGN PROCESS.
Together we will plan and personally create your own unique customized house plans. We will start by gathering any sketches, pictures, ideas, wish lists and plans that you like and talk about your vision and making it your reality. We will also go over your building site information, questions like number of bedrooms, ceiling height preferences, and any special type of construction that you might be considering.
WITH 3D YOU CAN COMMUNICATE MORE EFFICIENTLY
Based on all of your dreams, ideas, wishes and needs, I will then create preliminary 3D floor plans and exterior elevations for you to review during our preliminary meetings. These can be modified until the plans have perfectly captured your visions.
Upon your approval of the preliminary design, I will then finalize the construction drawings and document details necessary for cost estimates, development and building permits and construction.
I CAN ALSO ASSIST YOU IN FINDING THE RIGHT PEOPLE TO HELP YOU REALIZE YOUR PERFECT HOME
I will help you with the task of selecting a contractor, trades, other professionals and suppliers.
Pricing is determined on an individual project basis and takes into consideration many varied factors such as the size and complexity of the project, specific challenges of the site and the unique client requests. A new home is a major investment, so the cost of a proper set of blueprints is a very small investment to have your dreams put to paper properly. WHO AM I?
My name is Susan McDonald, in 1988 I received an Architectural Technology Diploma from S.A.I.T. I began my career with 7 years of doing structural plans for homes which gave me a strong foundation for good house design. I then started The Technical Edge in Calgary in 1996, producing construction drawings for homes in Calgary & Canmore.
When I moved home to Red Deer in 2001, I worked for a local builder for 5 years. In 2006 I decided that 3D was the way I could most effectively communicate with my customers, so The Technical Edge became full time using the leading edge 3D technology progam, Revit.
To date I have had the privilege of working on hundreds of one-of-a-kind, unique homes, executing accurate design and construction drawings for planning, estimating, permits, and construction.
I will combine my years of experience, passion & professionalism to design the home of your dreams, using the latest advanced 3D technology you will see your house inside and out.
