Shaman 2.38

A shaman is a person, who through altered states of consciousness, travels to spirit worlds for purposes of healing and divination. Through ritual and ceremony, a shaman calls on spirits and archetypes to help in the healing of others. A shaman is a mediator between man and Spirit, and nature and man.
Shamanism is not a religion, nor is it owned by any group. It cannot be explained in a simple definition because it is a way of life. It is a way of walking in this world with integrity, being in balance, being a caretaker of the earth, and being of service to others.

When building a house, we need a solid foundation. If we have a shaky foundation, then the whole structure will be weak. Likewise, the energy that surrounds each person is the foundation of health and well being. It is where everything in our life begins. If the energy is unbalanced, then our bodies may become ill and our mental and emotional states may be compromised. Also, our energy attracts similar energy. If our energy stays in a state that is uncomfortable, it will only attract more of that same energy. When we release energy that no longer serves us, and we regain a healthy foundation, then our health and surrounding circumstances are able to shift as well.
