HISTORY: Since 1986 through its 5 years at 1087 Queen Street West at the Great Hall in the 1980’s and then 18 years at 136 Geary Avenue in Toronto, now after 25 years of successful operation in Toronto, we have relocated Q.E.D. Media to 205 Cannon Street East in Hamilton.

Q.E.D. Media offers complete visual production services (HD & DV) with 2 video editing suites using Final Cut Pro, Avid, Premier and Coral Suite as well as WEB broadcast control facilities for live streaming. Currently we are using a four camera set up capable of live-to-web video broadcasting.

We offer full audio production services including original music composition for film, TV and record production. Q.E.D. Media has developed recording and editing studios featuring 2 Protools suites with an extensive MIDI setup, 60, 32, 16 and 12 channel consoles, 40 / 24 / 16-track fully interlocked analog recording capabilities with automated mix down. We have a very talented staff for complete audio post-production services including digital pre-mastering and Mastering. We also have Foley artists and custom sound effects libraries and designers for Film soundtracks.

We also offer in-house photography, graphics, WEB design and desktop publishing Services with WEB site designers, Photographers, Animators, 3D Modelers, Photoshop experts and a printing company. There is a small stage in the front Gallery for live performances, filming and recording. With it’s intimate atmosphere it offers the perfect setting for smaller gatherings and meetings.

Q.E.D. Media brings it's professional experience and width in service offerings including an enormous sync-locked audio & visual recording and Internet broadcast control facility together with the capabilities of several experienced producers, editors, composers, performers, engineers and technicians within our network to Hamilton.

Our Studio A “Live” room (sound-stage) at the back of our complex offers impressive professional stage lighting, outstanding audio and amazing sight-lines for video productions and live broadcasting and also features a 3500 sq.ft. live studio and sound stage with a 22' X 22' X 15' green screen wall with cyclorama. The main control room A is the bridge of the ship which includes a control room B, a media centre with editing suites and camera switcher, isolation booth with double glass windows looking into two performance sound stages.

Studio B’s live room, features a 1000 sq ft. live studio and sound stage. Better known as the "Marilyn" room it features a more intimate setting.

Both Studios have Protools suites attached to them and a full array of pro back-line equipment support for live performances, special events and rehearsals. Perfect for filming and recording.

Q.E.D. Media is managed by Dave Beatty - Dave is diversely experienced in most aspects of Media. His more than 40 years of professional experience is richly filled with a wide cross section of unique and practical experiences from within the entertainment Industry. In 1986 Dave founded Q.E.D. Media to put all his rich experiences and talent into one Company. As well as being the Managing Director of the Company, Dave is an active Audio and Visual Products Producer. His diverse background from Management through to performing and writing music includes years as a touring and session guitarist. Dave gained profound insights when he worked with Concert Productions International (CPI) for 9 years in the 1980s and he was also there in the beginning with Alliance Films when it was formed where he worked for 7 years. Dave Beatty has the experience and the ability that you would expect from someone who has worked side by side with the best. He has a genuine love and passion for the creative process. He brings a powerful and intuitive overview of people and the entertainment industry to the Q.E.D. Media team.

Q.E.D Media is the home of www.fridaynightlive.tv - a live Internet tv broadcast series seen weekly at 9pm EST. Q.E.D. Media was also home to the development of www.classicalbumslive for seven years - a live album concert performance series.
