Mamidosewin Centre 3.5

Mamidosewin Centre offers cultural activities and support to students who self identify as First Nations, Inuit or Métis at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. All services are available for free and open to current registered students at the college.
We offer:
- Academic, career and personal support with an Aboriginal counsellor.
- Budgeting, time management, study skills, and bursary application support with an Aboriginal student success specialist.
- Employment Support - Job coaching, resume support, interview preparation and referrals through the DevelopMentor Program.
- A Cultural Events Coordinator organizers: monthly feasts, craft circles, lunches, drumming, social events, movies, karaoke etc.
- Cree School Board Liaison available to meet with students at the Mamidosewin Centre for students funded through CSB.
- Part time peer support workers are hired - must be full time students that have a strong GPA and leadership qualities.
