Dr. Gerald Kersten has been providing outstanding orthodontic care for over 17 years. Prior to establishing his orthodontic practice, he practiced general dentistry for 8 years in Esquimalt . Dr. Kersten was born in Edmonton and raised in Langford. He attended the University of Victoria for predental studies and earned his dental degree from the University of British Columbia. Dr Kersten achieved his Orthodontics Certificate and Masters degree from the University of Detroit.

Dr. Kersten maintains memberships in several prestigious organizations including the British Columbia Society of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, Canadian Association of Orthodontists, and the Victoria and District Dental Societies.

He and his wife of 33 years, Lisa, have two children: Jane and Andrew. Dr. Kersten and Lisa are scuba diving instructors and enjoy underwater photography, golfing and boating.

Appointments
Your scheduled appointment time has been reserved specifically for you. We request 24-hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require missing an appointment.

Insurance
Our office is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits. Because insurance policies vary, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith but cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts. In keeping with the guidelines of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists we do not directly bill insurance policies on your behalf. Our knowledgeable receptionists will aid you in filling out the appropriate forms for you to submit to your insurance carrier. We will be happy to provide you with a predetermination of your benefits so you will know what costs you will be responsible for prior to starting treatment . If you have any questions, our courteous staff is always available to answer them.
