Good Morning!

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Chef Kelly Baines. My partner, Bev Drouillard, and I would like to take this oportunity to announce our new All Day Breakfast restaurant that we opened in December 2013.

Known as Kel's, We specialize in fresh made breakfast items prepared to order, a daily selection of fresh baked goods ( made in house and from scratch ), and an everchanging Monday to Friday lunch menu featuring fresh, local ingredients. ( For example, a Caesar salad is made with REAL Caesar dressing, fresh croutons, crisp romaine lettuce and hot crispy bacon bits ). We have partnered with the Fire Roasted Coffee Company in London, ON, to ensure that we are offering a premium roasted coffee with our morning experience. Our operating hours of business are from 6 am to 3 pm Monday to Sunday, or as I would like to say : All Day. Everyday!

To give you a little bit of a background, I have been in the hospitality and service industry in and aound Lambton County for 27 years now, My first job was as a fry cook at Harveys on Christina St. back in 1988. I attended Lambton College from 1994-1996, and obtained a diploma though their Culinary Apprentieship program. Shortly after, I attended an intensive session at Le Cordon Bleu in Ottawa, ON. I earned my Canadian Red Seal a a Cook in 1997. In the 17 years since then, I have had chances to travel around Canada to practice my trade, my farthest being a season spent as a First cook in Lake Louise, Alberta. Over the years I had spent behind he scenes in Sarnia, I have been lucky enough to participate in various events, have volunteered my time to my families church, and had a chance to watch my kids grow up. I have spent the last two yeas as the supervising Chef / Breakfast Cook with Alternate Grounds Dockside in the Sarnia Bay Marina. My partner, Bev, was an agent for Delmar International. She has joined me from Windsor, ON. and has allen in love with the area. The opening of this restaurant is the culmination of a lot of hard work and a lot of good food.

We have set up a Facebook page documenting, with posts and pictures, our progress. Once we are open, this page with boast our daily lunch features and our selection of baked goods for the day.
