Excellent Men Fellowship - Covenant Chapel 1.84

This is one of the natural groups in Covenant Chapel comprising primarily of matured and married men. The name excellent is derived from the nature of God because God is excellent, therefore man (male gender), God’s first creation is expected to be outstanding and exemplary.

The idea behind having such a group is to foster better relationship among men in the church, the display of wisdom in decision making by men and the fulfillment of the Godly purpose of men so that men would be able to take their rightful place as leaders in the home, church and society.

Men as leaders in the home should show good example in all manner of conduct. They should not be missing in action (MIA). In this world today, the absence of fathers has caused a whole lot of problems in homes. In other cases fathers are present but they are not living up to their responsibilities.

Sometimes these fathers are not missing because they want to but due to the fact that they do not know how to perform their responsibilities thereby abandoning their God given roles.

The Excellent Men forums’ aims are reflected in the activities of this group of people. Apart from a quarterly breakfast meeting during which all members deliberate on issues pertaining to men after the elucidation of the theme of that meeting by the main speaker, we do have other activities like organization of seminars, mentoring of youths, community outreaches, prayer retreat, etc.

This family as it is called is able to execute all the programs summarized above through free will donations and a monthly fee paid by all members. The family affairs are managed by Executives answerable to the Pastor. Apart from the responsibilities of this family to Covenant Chapel, we also participate in the men of valor program. Men of Valor is a group of men within the North American arm of the RCCG worldwide.

The Excellent men family aim to expand her horizon beyond men in the RCCG community by empowering young men in different fields of life with skills within so as to make a better society. It is only in giving that one receives.
