Dr. Mike Finn has been practicing in Campbell River for 20 years. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 1993.

His easy going manner and friendly personality go a long way towards making his patients feel at ease and his special rapport with children is a great asset to his already successful “family” practice.

Dr. Finn offers state of the art restorative treatments to patients and he is very aware that dentistry must fit into the life style and life stages that his patients are experiencing.

Dr. Finn believes that successful dental treatment involves a multi-disciplinary approach. Aspects of Orthodontics, Periodontics, Endodontics and so on, must be considered in order to solve a dental problem. In order to “facilitate” this for his patients, Dr. Finn is always upgrading his skills. He has taken extensive continuing educational training through the Ickert Dental Implant Centre in Langley BC, the Kois Center in Seattle WA. and, most recently, an extensive IV Sedation course in Tucson Arizona. His continued upgrading in Endodontic Therapy means he can complete more difficult root canal problems right in his office, without the need for a referral to an out-of-town specialist.

Dr. Finn and his wife, Marketa, have two young children. The entire family is active in the Campbell River Sports Community. They volunteer and lend their support to many community organizations, such as the Campbell River Tyee Club, Campbell River Minor Hockey, and Cameryn’s Cause.

Dr. Finn is an avid outdoorsman. He can often be seen on the coach’s bench at the ice rink, or at the baseball diamond.

Dr. Sarah Reynhoudt is a recent graduate of the UBC Dentistry School and is excited to be returning to the Island. She is a true islander, having grown up in Nanaimo and completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at UVic.

Dr. Reynhoudt loves working with children, and is an advocate of a stress-free environment where patients are informed to be
able to make their own decisions. She believes strongly in preventive dentistry and treats all her patients like family, listening to them carefully and advocating for their well-being.

As a high school graduate she won the prestigious Governor General’s Award for Academic Excellence and more recently received an ethics award from UBC Dentistry and Vancouver Dental Society for her patient care and academic work as a student. Sarah’s strong ethics also led her to a volunteer position in a dental clinic on the downtown east side.

Island living complements her love of the outdoors and camping. As well she is an avid reader, loves to cook and has always been involved in volunteer activities. Dr. Reynhoudt has missed Vancouver Island, and is excited to be moving back to promote oral health care in a place she loves!

At Dr.Finn’s Office , we are protecting the environment and your health by using the latest technology in all areas of dentistry. The fewer chemicals we use in our daily routines, the better it is for us and for our surroundings.

Below are listed just some of the ways we are trying to do our part for you and the planet:

We were one of the first offices in Campbell River to become computerized, over 30 years ago. We are now a chartless office, and all of our patient records are computerized. Just think about how many trees we have saved during that time.
Our xrays are digital. Not only does this eliminate the need for harmful, toxic processing chemicals, but it also cuts down on the use of plastics to produce the old dental films. The radiation exposure for digital xrays is approximately 90% less than it is for traditional films. This makes it safer for you and also safer for our staff members.
Our office is mercury-free and now uses bio-compatible materials for fillings, rather than amalgam.
We use eco-friendly disinfectants that are effective while not polluting the environment.
Staying involved in our community is extremely important to us. We proudly support Campbell River Minor Hockey, Campbell River Minor Baseball, Cameryn’s Cause and Campbell River Tyee Club just to name a few.
