The Canadian Society of Children's Authors, Illustrators and Performers (CANSCAIP) is a group of professionals in the field of children's culture with members from all parts of Canada. As a National Arts Service Organization, CANSCAIP supports and promotes children's literature through online forums, newsletters, workshops, meetings and other information programs for authors, illustrators, performers, parents, teachers, librarians, publishers and others. CANSCAIP has over 400 professional members and over 600 associate members—teachers, librarians, parents, publishers, emerging creators and others—who are interested in aspects of children's books, illustrations and performances.
