Avalon Adventure Youth Camp 2.1

Avalon Adventure Youth Camp offers 7 day, overnight outdoor adventure camps for 9-11 & 12-14 year olds from our facility in Emerald Vale, Newfoundland.

AAYC (to be incorporated) is operated by Carl Lee, who brings extensive survival & organizational experience from the Canadian Forces & Scouts Canada, & Dion Simmonds, a past scout & current minor hockey volunteer. All counselors will undergo background checks & First Aid & CPR certification & a ratio of 1:6 counselor - camprs will be maintained. AAYC will carry $1 million Commercial General Liability Insurance & meet all Gov. NL requirements for youth activities & food service.

Camps will run Sunday through Friday in July & August. Campers are housed inside a modern facility with kitchen & washrooms. Rain or shine, our campers will be dry & secure. Meals, snacks & necessary equipment provided (just bring sleeping bags & clothes).

Campers will participate in:
- swimming & rafting
- survival, orienteering & geocaching
- fishing & hiking
- paint ball
- air rifle marksmanship
- tree house & fort building
- soccer, baseball, football, basketball, frizz-bee
- capture the flag & other games
- nightly campfires with skits, songs and jokes.

Electronic gaming & similar devices will strictly prohibited, though campers will be able to communicate with parents nightly via Facebook.
