Keramis 4.41

Real space for art and patrimonial heritage, research and creation, the Keramis center is erected on the site of the former faiencerie Royal Boch in La Louvière, in the Belgian province of Hainaut. Its contempory architecture unfolds around a former workshop containing three bottleshaped charcoal fired kilns classified as historical monument(s). The Keramis center is the first Belgian art center dedicated to contemporary ceramics.

Epace d'art et de patrimoine, de recherche et de crétion, le Cntre Kramis est érigé sur le site de l'ancienne faïencerie Royal Boch à La Louvière dans le Hainaut en Belgique. Son architecture contemporaine se déploie autour d'un ancien atelier contenant trois fours au charbon classés monuments historiques. Le Centre Keramis est le premier centre d'art belge dédié a la céramique contemporaine.

Le Centre Keramis, een ruimte voor kunst en erfgoed, onderzoek en creatie, werd gebouwd op de plaats van de voormalige fabriek waar het aardewerk van Royal Boch werd geproduceerd. Deze nieuwe kunstruimte bevindt zich in La Louvière in de provincie Henegouwen. De architectuur is hedendaags en werd gebouwd rond een oude werkplaats waar zich nog drie historisch geklasseerde steenkoolovens bevinden. Le Centre Keramis is het eerste Belgische kunstcentrum gewijd aan de hedendaagse keramiek.
