Khairullah Govt. Girls' High School 4.05

Khairullah Bepari established Khairullah Govt. Girls High School in the Upzilla town in 1941 for female education. The school was housed in two-storied building on 1.5331 acres of land in the centre of Gafargaon town. Some other landlords of Gafargaon like Zaminders of Muktagacha came forward with financial support to fulfill the mission of Khairullah Bepari. At that time women education was in a deplorable state in Bengal but following the establishment of the school, female education in the Bengali community, both Hindu and Muslim, took a positive turn.

The school was nationalised in 1985. The first headmaster of the school was Babu Shoshi Chodro Dash who continued his service till 1945.
After the nationalised, the first headmaster of the school was Morgia Begom she continued his service from 01-10-1970 to 13-02-1996.
Morgia Begom served the school for 27 years as its head

The school has a library with over 10,500 books with some rare collections. It has a hostel with accommodation for over 250 students.It has 550 Students.

Today the school is run by 15 teachers including one headmasters. The school runs one shifts.
