Hi, my name is Fleta Pohlner and I am a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist working from the comfort of my family’s farm house. Originally from Perth, WA, I moved to Nhill in 1982 and worked at the local hospital for 20 years. I began working in private practice from home in 2002 where I now work Monday to Friday with predominantly children ranging from 2 years to 15 years of age.

As I work from my farm home, travelling a distance to attend my Speech Pathology lessons may appear inconvenient. However, many parents find the warm atmosphere, with tea and coffee available, relaxing while I work with their child in a lesson, designed to be both fun and interesting for their child. The working farm can be viewed from the safe boundary of the house yard fence. Farm activities are often very motivating for the children that need the services of a Speech Pathologist.
I have recently qualifies as a Relationship Development Intervention Consultant. Relationship Development Intervention is an excellent programme designed to assist children with Autism and their families. One of the advantages of this programme is that most of the Programme can be completed online. Some contact with myself is required at my Speech Pathology Practice near Nhill or I can do home visits.
