Townsville Storms founded by Shane Williams is an organisation based in Townsville Queensland. This page has been set up to provide weather related information to its subscribers within it's coverage areas. In addition, Townsville Storms also encourages social interaction and subscribers are quite welcome to post weather related comments and photos to our wall.

It's website, www.townsvillestorms.com is Townsville and Northern Queensland's first storm chasing website commencing way back in 2003. It was founded by Shane Williams who has been chasing severe weather since 1984.

Since Facebook is a well known medium for information sharing, creating a fan page was a good idea. Townsville Storms is managed by 9 administrators and may look at seeking new administrators in the future
