The Hair and Beauty industry is constantly evolving through changes in fashion trends and the development of improved products, innovative techniques and new technologies. Millions of dollars are spent each year on scientific developments in this field, and the industry has begun to work closely with other health and medical practitioners in the care of skin and the development of total health care concepts such as nutrition and lifestyle.

Hair and Beauty programs are delivered mainly from the Wagga Wagga, Albury and Griffith campuses. As well as apprenticeship training, specialist courses are offered in nail technology, beauty and massage. All programs are delivered in industry standard training salons using real clients. Certificate II is offered for people who do not have an apprenticeship, giving them the opportunity to develop practical skills for work possibilities such as a hair dressing assistant, receptionist in a salon or to apply for apprenticeships
