It is a beacon of best practice providing a range of newly emerging green skills.
The Centre for Inland Engineering incorporates 13 campuses and a number of engineering disciplines including:

– Electrotechnology

– Metal Fabrication and Welding

– Fitting and Machining

– Civil Engineering

Courses range from entry level apprenticeships to specialised Advanced Diplomas. Cutting edge facilities include new state-of-the-art Electrotechnology and Fitting and Machining facilities in Wagga Wagga which have been established in partnership with Airservices, Essential Energy, Snowy Hydro and the National Electrical and Communications Association.

The combined talents of our highly skilled teachers coupled with our state-of-the-art facilities offer a variety of solutions to the training needs of both individuals and enterprises in the region and beyond. This specialty centre provides a strong identity for industry and students and positions our graduates to fill the skills gaps of the future.

To engineer literally means “to make things happen”. Engineering know-how converts science knowledge into technology, then turns technology into successful innovation.

The industry is experiencing very high demand for skilled electricians, metal machinists and fabricators, as well as people working in areas of emerging technology, such as applied photonics and nanotechnology.
