Patience Community Services 2.36

Patience Community Services was established in 2015 as a response to the overwhelming degree of disadvantage its founders witnessed on the streets of Melbourne on a daily basis.
After spending months interacting with the community, it became clear that each person experiencing a form of disadvantage on the streets of Melbourne had their own unique story and vulnerabilities that had lead them down their current path. Factors such as lack of access to skills training, isolation stemming from cultural and language differences, and dis-empowerment related to ethnicity and gender all contributed to the levels of homelessness, joblessness, addiction, and crime by limiting an individual’s life opportunities.
PCS was formed out of a desire to ensure that every person in the community has the opportunities to access the skills and support needed to reach their full potential and achieve their goals.
