Mullum Folk Club 2.19

Mullum Folk Club was first launched in 2004, and ran successfully for 6 years....we have now had a 6 year break and are back for another round, with mostly the same crew plus a couple of new special members. The club has always been known for both the quality of the acts on stage as well as the quality of the audience, ie they are really there to listen to and appreciate original music. The show begins with 5 chalkboard acts, signed up on the night then we have a short interval and a 40 minute set from a pre booked feature artist....the only rules of folk club are that your music must be your own original compositions....and that the audience must be quiet, no mobiles and no chatting. Children are welcome but they must also be respectful to the artists on the stage and give them their full attention too. During the last round of Folk Club we had so many stunning memorable performances, from nervous first timers blowing us away to seasoned pros humbled by the audiences undivided attention......so practice up if you are a songwriter, we would love to hear your songs....come along to the first show on September 21st and put your name down for the chalkboard, 5 spots up for grabs, first in first on basis, the board opens at 6.45pm, doors open 7.00pm show starts at 7.30pm on the dot.....$7.50 admission, tea, coffee and cakes will be available, we look forward to seeing you all again
