Kitsch in the Swich started out as a Vintage branding exercise to expose and grow the Nostalgic vibe of the Ipswich City Square, to support and grow the activity surrounding the square and its retail based centre, Ipswich City Square. The First event was such a massive success with the mall swelling to capacity and all retailers boasting bumper sales as well as the square as a whole gaining a reputation for owning and operating the festival, the name and branding as well as the Prom Queen and King to boot! So big was the success, by popular demand, a follow up second, yet equally superb, magic event was created... Carnaby Square, our 1960s Brit Pop fashion and entertainment Ipswich Festival event took place the 1st weekend in May.
We are determined to keep this vibe, culture and fun growing throughout the year and we have the following regular events now ingrained into the social calendar!! Why not ingrain them into YOUR social calendar too and come out and help support and grow the nostalgic fun, vitality and great entertainment that your Ipswich City Square has to offer:
