Thanks for checking out my page, I know that when trying to decide whether a PT will be a good fit for you, you need to get to know a bit about them first, so here’s a bit about me:

I’m a 31 year old mum of two beautiful little girls (aged 1 and 5).

Growing up, I was always what people called ‘big boned’. I honestly never enjoyed sports and did my best to get out of it! During my early twenties I went to the gym as a necessity to keep the weight off, yet I never really enjoyed it. Over the years I counted points, cut carbs (argghhh what a nightmare), ate low fat foods and experimented with various shakes. It always seemed like such hard work and I just HATED counting calories all the time!

After the birth of my first daughter, I had limited spare time and a lot of weight to lose. I attended my first group fitness session and experienced some pain (post C-section) when doing certain exercises, I mentioned it to the male PT who was taking the class, however he didn't really have any idea of any modifications to offer. Over the next 6 months, I did a lot of research into what exercises were safe for post natal women and started focusing on eating healthy meals that I actually enjoyed. I lost the weight whilst finding forms of exercise that worked for me and I actually enjoyed, and didn't take any short cuts, I persisted with a healthy lifestyle and exercised regularly.

I realised this was something that I was passionate about, and really enjoyed, it was time to make a change! So I headed back to the classroom (not my favourite place in the world at all!) and studied to become a certified Personal Trainer and Food Coach. I started Hot Mummas Fitness in 2013 and have helped many women lose their baby weight and feel good about themselves again. I had my second daughter in 2015, and I have just moved to Mango Hill, which has prompted me to make the big leap and resign from my part time corporate office job, and pursue my passion full time, and I'm super excited!!
