Team History:
Formed in July, 2015, Golden Diversity competed at their first State Finals, before advancing as 2016 National Finalists. Having placed second in Development Class, at the 2016 National Finals – missing out by a mere 11 points - it definitely was a successful first season for the team.

Determined to continue their journey through the world of STEM, they competed for another season. Going through the whole process of State and National Competitions, they upped the ante, and came home as the 2017 Australian National Champions of the Professional Division.

We are made up of six bright and determined girls, who are representing not only Tasmania or Australia at the F1 in Schools™ World Final,, but our cultural diversity and girls in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).

The F1 in Schools Challenge is definitely a rollercoaster, implementing real-world skills and bringing that practical element of learning, to our usual classroom education.

For our team to have truly succeeded, we hope to bring more engagement in STEM throughout our schools, and continue this F1 legacy, by breaking down society’s barriers. We aren’t just girls in STEM anymore, trying to live up to the expectations of males in this field, we are ambassadors for STEM.

Using the opportunities given by the competition, we are able to promote STEM in our community and in our students, ultimately, inspiring a generation. We wish to show the world their potential, their ability to succeed, and in participating in this programme, we can achieve this.

We believe that being an all girls team in a male dominated competition makes us stand out in this field and we each have qualities that make our team unique.

This gives us a motivational drive to do well in this competition and we please ask for your support to like our page and follow our journey through the F1 in Schools Challenge. Feel free to also contact us through Facebook or email for any inquiries or business related requests.
