Corowa Lawn Tennis Club would like to welcome you.

Tennis is for fitness and well-being. It is a skill you will have for life and it will open up new social networks.

Corowa Lawn Tennis Club offers a number of competitions with the main tennis year running from October to Easter and a smaller competition during the winter months.

SATURDAY MORNING JUNIORS: We have teams in the North East Regional Tennis Association competition for Under 12’s & U15’s. Teams are made up of 4 players which can be a mixture of boys and girls. A small amount of travelling is involved to places such as Rutherglen, Wahgunyah and Chiltern every 2nd week. Parent participation is required with the younger teams. The emphasis is on learning and developing skills as well as competition. Matches are played on Saturday mornings starting at 9.00 am and they usually finish around 11.00 am. Competition will start on Saturday 18th October 2014. Any enquiries should be made to Craig Spencer on 0402 037 451.
Weekly playing fee - $3. All players are to become members. Junior membership fee is $55.00.

NORTH EAST REGIONAL TENNIS ASSOCIATION: This is a Pennant competition and comprises Sections 1, 2 and 3. A small amount of travel is required every 2nd week to local clubs. Competition will commence on 11th October 2014. Any enquiries should be made to Craig Spencer on 0402 037 451 or Greg Filliponi on 6033 4284.
Weekly playing fee - $6.

INTRA CLUB: This Aggregate competition is played on a Friday evenings for both men and women. There are no teams. Each week you play a minimum of 3 sets within a group of players of similar ability. The games you win (accumulate) are tallied up at the end of the day and your score determines your position on a player’s ladder. Each week players will move up (or down) the ladder according to how they scored from the previous week. Play will start at 7.00 pm Friday. Competition will start on Friday 24th October 2014.
Weekly playing fee - $6 members, $8 non-members. Under lights - $8 members, $10 non–members.

MIDWEEK TWILIGHT: An 8 week competition commencing on 29th October 2014 followed by a second competition commencing on 28th January 2015. There will be an altered format in the second half. Teams consist of 2 men and 2 women. A reserve or two is advisable. A BBQ is provided afterwards to encourage players to enjoy the social aspect off the club.
Weekly playing fee - $4 members, $8 non-members.

REGISTRATION: Every player is required to complete a registration form (attached) and return to Origin Clothing, Corowa Sportspower, Health Culture Fitness Centre, the Tennis Clubhouse or any committee person listed. Forms to be returned by 7th October 2014.

Memberships are to be paid by 30 November. We encourage everyone to become a member and support the tennis club.

Membership at the Corowa Lawn Tennis Club provides:
• Use of the courts all year at no extra hire fee.
• Fee for lights - $10 per court per hour for social tennis – non-competition.
• Ability to play in the Club Championships – Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles. Prizes for the winners.
Non-members are required to pay:

• Court hire fee - $20 per hour per court.
• Playing under lights is an additional $10 per hour.

NB: If a member is hitting with a non-member, the non-member is required to pay court hire fee ($10 per hour per court). With lights - $20 per court per hour.

The financial tennis year is from 1 July to 30 June each year. As the main tennis season does not commence until October we extend the year until then. Membership is required to be paid by 30 November.


CLUB HOUSE HIRE
Hire of the clubhouse and surrounds is available for small to medium size functions. The building is air-conditioned, with plenty of room for the kids to run around, making it ideal for family gatherings and work functions.

INSURANCE: While our club has Public Liability Insurance covering all members and visitors to our premises and personal insurance for members while on the court, it does not cover non-members actually playing tennis while on court.
