Council operates regular markets across the city, giving local businesses an opportunity to showcase their wares while providing a recreational activity for residents and visitors alike. See www.cairns.qld.gov.au/whats-on/markets for updates, info and opportunities!

Stallholders:
You can apply to be a market stallholder by using our online market stall application form on www.cairns.qld.gov.au/whats-on/markets/market-stallholder-application.

Cairns Esplanade Markets
Every Saturday, 8am-4pm, by the Lagoon
The Esplanade Markets showcase local, quality products from contemporary jewellery, leather work, pottery, clothes and skincare. If you need a gift or souvenir you are sure to find it here.
Held against the backdrop of the Cairns waterfront, you can follow your market shopping with a swim in the Lagoon or take advantage of the free barbecues, exercise equipment and children's play grounds.

Gordonvale Cotters Markets
These markets take place on the first Saturday of each month in Norman Park.
They are organised by the Cancer Council.

Holloways Beach Playgroup Markets
Second Sunday of each month, 8am-1pm, along the foreshore of Casuarina Street
The Holloways Beach Markets feature local crafts, fresh products, plants, second-hand items, food stalls and much more. These community markets make a great family day in a beautiful spot; you can even stick around and use the free barbecues and patrolled swimming area for the afternoon.

Palm Cove Markets
Day and time to be confirmed, Williams Esplanade, Palm Cove
The Palm Cove markets showcase local, quality handmade products from contemporary jewellery, leather work, pottery, clothes, skincare and food.
The markets often include great family activities such as crazy golf, henna tattoos and free entertainment.
Council is considering the future direction of the Palm Cove markets with the option of holding a once-a-month event along Williams Esplanade.

Ports North Cruise Liner Markets
Relevant cruise ship sates, outside the cruise ship terminal on Wharf Street
The Ports North Cruise Liner Markets showcase the Cairns region with tourism items and local craft products. Cruise season is usually between October and April and the schedule can be found on www.portsnorth.com.au

Tanks Markets
Last Sunday of the month, April to November, 9am-2pm, Collins Avenue, Edge Hill
Showcasing a blend of local art, craft, produce, vintage clothing, collectibles and local natural health products and treatments, the markets are a relaxing way to spend a Sunday morning. Market stalls line Tanks promenade on Collins Avenue, with live entertainment provided by local musicians.
The June market day is also the Body Mind and Soul Market as taro readers, healers and health stalls join us in Tank 3.

Carnival on Collins
Fathers Day - 6 September 2015, 9am-3pm, Collins Avenue, Edge Hill
Carnival on Collins is a Cairns’ Father’s Day tradition and a sustainably-run community event, held on the last day of Cairns Festival, when over 25000 people flock to the city’s Botanic Gardens precinct for a giant day of family fun.
Featuring loads of free entertainment for people of all ages, it’s a slice of life in the tropics, with over 250 market stalls offering local art & craft, produce, plants, food and refreshments.
The event features entertainment on stage, food, a Fundraising Zone and Kids Carnival in the Botanic Gardens, exhibitions in the Tanks as well as roving entertainers and more.

Approved staff members within Cairns Regional Council will moderate content and respond to requests daily and as quickly as possible during business hours only. This Facebook page will be monitored during business hours (between 8.30am and 5pm AEST Monday to Friday excluding public holidays and the Christmas closure period.
