Details

Busking for a Breakthrough (BFB) is a community run event featuring local musicians, food vendors and activities. The event aims to bring the community together while helping to showcase talented local acts and supporting community organisations.

The event was first held in Griffith, New South Wales in 2011, and was the brain child of Erin McCallum. Since 2015, the event has been run in Wodonga, Victoria with the support of La Trobe University. In that time, BFB has raised thousands of dollars for organisations including, Headspace and the Centre Against Violence.

In 2017, the organisers are aspiring for BFB to be bigger and better than ever before. This year One Mob (an indigenous youth organisation) will be the recipient of the funds raised. One Mob runs residential care support, traditional Indigenous programs, and has worked with PCYC, Anglicare, Mission Australia, Family & Community Services and Challenge.
