My career in sales commenced on leaving school when I joined Elders Merchandise in Corrigin, followed by Beaurepaire’s, Telfer and Carson’s in Merredin. Being part of a local community is important to me. I also participated in basketball, football, polo and polocrosse for which I represented WA on three occasions. I was also a member of the local sporting club and various business organisations.

I was later able to take up opportunities to run my own business in service stations and later retail, which I have done so for 35 years, exposing myself to all the needs of a consumer. During this time I was a representative on the BP Dealer Council, Chairman of Thornlie Sportsman Cub, President of Hannans Club Kalgoorlie, Vice-President Chamber of Commerce in Kalgoorlie, along with a number of memberships with local organisations. I also participated in the Variety Bash six times, the Variety 4WD Bash five times and Telethon Trek three times. Each of these events required substantial fund raising which I found particularly rewarding as it is in support of children’s charities.

Over the years I have owned my own home, investment properties and commercial properties, all of which have exposed me to different facets of the Real Estate Industry and this is why I have now made a sea change and completed my Real Estate Registration Certificate.
