Details

The Bahá'í Centre of Learning was completed in May 2001 and formally opened by His Excellency Lieutenant General John Sanderson, AC, Governor of Western Australia.

The Bahá'í Centre of Learning provides a place for community life for the Bahá'ís, and is located at the corner of North Lake Road and Marmion Street in Myaree, in the City of Melville a suburb of Perth, Western Australia.

The Bahá'í Centre of Learning (BCL) is an educational institution reflecting the aspiration of the Baha'i Faith to contribute to the development of a peaceful and sustainable community.

The BCL is funded entirely by the Bahá'í community of Western Australia and is used extensively by many Bahá'í communities in the Perth metropolitan area. The Centre is mainly for educational purposes and is not regarded by the Bahá'ís as a holy or sacred place nor is it regarded as a temple or church.

The design of the building is purely functional and does not represent any symbolism. It has a Baha'i bookshop and a large auditorium with a stage at entrance level and several study rooms and a conference room upstairs.

The Baha'i Centre can be hired for significant cultural and educational programs by wider community.
