Originally established in 1965 as Aspley Little Theatre playing at the Methodist church hall, eventually moving in 1984 to Albany Creek.

When they vacated, Life member Glenys Ferguson suggested the name ACT1 which was incorporated using the name from the original Aspley Little Theatre and Aspley Community Theatre, the organisation eventually incorporated as ACT1 Theatre in July 1985 and moved into the Old Shire Hall at Strathpine, its current location which is conveniently located just a short walk from Strathpine Railway station on the Caboolture Line, approx 22.4kms north of Brisbane CBD. Zone 5 of the translink public transport system.

It now provides the opportunity for community members to be involved with live theatre for all ages.

There is free parking in Hall St, and a car park at the rear of the theatre. There is also wheelchair access to the theatre.

The theatre has a raised seating arrangement for 90 guests in Air Conditioned comfort.

There is one dressing room, fully equipped with air conditioning, mirrors, lighting, hanging space for approx. 10 people.

There is a licensed bar area, reception and box office with easy access.

We produce approx. 6-8 live productions a year, in the genre of rib tickling comedy farce, theatre restaurant, drama and thrillers.

We host the SEQ Theatre Festival circuit each year.
This weekend of One Act Plays from different theatre groups throughout the SE QLD is a huge 3 day weekend of live performances.
