This Page is dedicated to the efforts brought forth by Ricky Mena to Inspire, Motivate and Empower children in need all around the globe. The idea was to dawn the costume of a super hero and visit children who were terminally ill in hospitals, kids in foster care and or schools to speak on bullying. The Idea itself came from a dream Ricky had, where he saw himself as the one and only SPIDER-MAN. Upon waking up Ricky quickly got to work and found the man who is now responsible for the REAL LIFELIKE suit he wears today.(Facebook page: SPIDER NATION). After receiving the spider-man suit Ricky began his journey visiting children and to date has brought many smiles to children who simply needed it. After putting together a video depicting his mission, Ricky realized he needed a HOME for this Spidey movement and created the "Heart of a Hero" FB page in an effort to spread the word across the globe so that more children in need could have the same experience. Although Spider-Man's services are 100% FREE, Ricky accepts donations to purchase gifts for the children he visits (Spidey paper masks, Ultimate hero medals, Stickers) to enhance and ultimately prolong the experience for all kids involved because who would believe that they REALLY met Spider-Man unless he left something behind, Right?
