Literature can arouse the public’s mental activity and for literature public is the supreme court of justice, the highest tribunal. Poets from Daagh to Ghalib and authors Munshi Premchand to Saadat Hasan Manto are eminent personalities of Urdu Literature who have made a position of their own in World Literature. Besides these are many other writers, poets, playwrights, critics, and calligraphers who are shining brightly among the glitterati in the galaxy of Urdu Literature. In this era of internet when shorter sentences and words are more acceptable of expressions, Urdu language is one of the finest languages in the world which is talked and preferred to express emotions and thoughts. Today work in the field of Urdu Literature is at the same pace as it was earlier. Urdu Press Club is the only registered organization . Who has bound together emerging personalities of Urdu Literature through symposium, seminars, public meetings, launch of Urdu books etc. under the banner of Urdu Press Club International. Urdu Press Club also has been making constant efforts to promote Urdu journalism, language and literature in India for more than three decades. It has over the years been instrumental in creating awareness on current sociopolitical cultural and other topical areas of interest. The debate generated in this form has impacted upon both the erudite as well as the masses.Besides, this club has established an Urdu Public Library and is planning to start a calligraphy Training center and a Computer Literacy Center. In addition to this Urdu Press Club is not only creating awareness amongst the general public about the dreaded disease like Polio, AIDS, Hepatitis A and B, but is continuously engaged in spreading the message of peace, love and harmony.
