Located in Hamamatsu, Japan, where Mr. Ito is originally from, Megabass has become a formidable force in the fishing industry of Japan, especially in the past 10 years. It established itself as a high-end plastic lure company with the introduction of the break-through bait POP-X in 1996 and in the same year branched out into rods and reels when the Destroyer rod series was released.
