Zawadi is co-owned by a proudly South African mother and daughter team.

Zawadi derives its name from the Swahili word for "Gift". Our products are hand made using only the finest fabrics sources from South Africa and across the continent of Africa.

More than 80% of our products are made in South Africa. The rest are sourced from communities in other African countries.

Our products include upcycled materials and furniture, with an emphasis on reusing materials that would otherwise be dumped in landfills. Zawadi also provides skills training to unemployed women, providing them with sewing skills, that enable them to not only create our products, but empower them to do other sewing work for additional income.
