Wedgewood Nougat was started by Gilly and Taffy Walters on the family stove in 1999. Serious illness had driven the Walters family off their flower farm and Gilly and Taffy set about hosting dinner music concerts at their home to make ends meet. It was at one of these concerts that Gilly first made nougat and was inspired by happy guests to start selling it at the local farmer's market in Pietermaritzburg. Some years later, the family stove has transformed into a state-of-the-art facility on the KZN Midlands, filled with a team passionate about good food and living a good life!
