Located in Vilakazi Street, one of the most historically significant streets of Soweto and which is steeped in history. Thrive is a stone’s throw from Nelson and Winnie Mandela’s first home and that of Archbishop Desmond Tutu and near the Hector Pieterson Museum.

Our ultra-modern concrete and glass building was designed by a young student (Valentina Angelucci) at a top architectural firm and built in 2013.

Thrive provides an opportunity for local and overseas visitors as well as locals to relax and indulge in stylish surroundings and rely on and enjoy our unique and high quality modern food experience which includes our deep coffee flair and expertise that we have brought to Soweto. Thembi is hands-on owner and a great coffee barista and Asad is our highly experienced Ops Manager.
