THEORY is a beautiful little Gift & Décor store located in the Village View Shopping Centre, Van Buuren Road, Bedfordview. THEORY is owned and managed by mother and daughter team Sandy & Shannon Arundel.



At THEORY we have a deep felt passion for beautiful interiors, décor and gifts which are truly authentic and speaks to your soul! We tirelessly hunt for the highly unusual, quirky and unique décor and gifting items which we source from all corners of South Africa (…and a few other corners of the world) in order to bring these to the local market.



Historically the truly interesting and unique little shops are only found in Cape Town, Knysna, Stellenbosch, Franschhoek etc, our mission is to bring these to our clients in JHB. We want the THEORY to be an “experience” for our clients, not just another over commercialized and overpriced chain store!



Since opening our doors on the 1st April 2016 we have met the most wonderful people, all of which have offered us so much encouragement and endearing feedback complementing our beautiful little shop and many have repeatedly told us how badly our valley has needed a store like this, it has truly been surreal!
