Theatre Works 2.14

Theatre Works is a drama school that has a two -fold approach to dramatic coaching. Firstly, the school’s director, Gabriella Bishop aims to provide an environment where students can compete in dramatic competitions (Cape Town Drama Eisteddfod) as well as International Exams (LAMDA), and secondly, the school offers a number of non-competitive programs and classes where students can gain confidence and learn presentation skills without the stress of competing.

Theatre Works’ aim is to create classes that are specific to the students, relevant to contemporary theatre making and diverse in genre, technique and skill set. The classes are specifically kept small so that students are able to get personal attention, progress can be monitored and that work produced meets the caliber of the studio’s vision. Gabriella is passionate about exposing students to not only as many performance opportunities as the studio can allow for, but also training students to be professional theatre makers who can enter any company or theatre program with a full range of skills as well as exceptional theatre knowledge.
