The Billiard Room, Chrissiesmeer, Mpumalanga 4.14

In the center of Chrissiesmeer, Mpumalanga, renovations are underway to the 118 year old Billiard Room. A wood and corrugated structure which was brought up in the year 1900 by oxwagon from Tempe military base in Bloemfontein to serve as a recreational hall for the British officers camped in the grounds of the Lake Chrissie Hotel. It housed a full sized billiard table of which the stone pillars on which it stood can still be seen through the wooden floorboards.
