Company Profile
Teleray was formed in 2001 by Rayne T. Nell , who saw the need for an electronics wholesale business in Port Elizabeth , serving the Eastern Cape . “ I started off at a technical college where I studied basic electronics theory and practice . My career started in the early days of television , with the first aerial manufacturing company in South Africa , Colourmatch (Pty)Ltd . Their factory was in Port Elizabeth and I therefore gained first hand experience .

In 1986 I joined Skywave (Pty)Ltd. And opened their first branch in Port Elizabeth . It was with Skywave that I entered the television broadcasting industry , and too date have installed and maintained in excess of 50 T.V. & F.M. Transmitters for municipalities in the Eastern Cape .

By 2001 when Teleray was formed , I had 17 years experience as representative , technical consultant , technician and manager . My technical background , combined with my hands on approach has allowed me to lend support for the products I sell . With the rapid technological advances in electronics industry , Teleray is able to keep up with the pace in new products , sales and after sales service .”

T.V. Aerial reception products

At Teleray we stock the widest range of aerials accessories , from amplifiers , cables , filters meters etc. for domestic and communal applications . Teleray is the original agent for Jackle R.F. Engineering and their related German products SPAUN and Polytron . Teleray is also the agent for Multibroadcast and their related products Centauri , FTE , Devisor & Maxpeak .

All Spaun , Jackle and Centauri products purchased from Teleray can be repaired in S.A.

T.V. Systems design

At Teleray , we consult and design T.V. & Satellite Distribution systems for Hotels , B&B’s , Apartments , High rise buildings , Hospitals and resorts . We have all the latest technology from Europe , including the latest in Fibre Optic developments and products . Our products are backed by on site visits for problem solving solutions . Spaun and Jackle products have dominated the S.A. T.V. Distribution market for years .

Satellite products

Teleray was recently appointed the agent for ‘ The Switch Group (Pty ) Ltd.’ For the Eastern Cape . We now stock the widest range of satellite reception products . Teleray has extensive experience in C-Band technology , and can assist with products and installation . Many foreign channels can be accessed such as , Spanish , French , Russian , Pakistan , Thai , Vietnam , Bangladeshi , Dutch , cultural and news content .
