The Story of Snowflake
More than 130 years ago, the old Port Elizabeth Steam Mill Company began milling the finest, whitest wheat flour, that according to the first millers, resembled ‘a fresh fall of snow’. So began South Africa’s best known flour, Snowflake. This was a time where the kitchen was the heart of the home and the welcoming aroma of baking would fill the house with delicious warmth and love. Snowflake quickly earned a reputation for its fine quality that added the magic touch to the most closely guarded family recipes. Through generations, Snowflake has been part of the pantry essentials for the magic touch that is ‘too fresh to flop’.
