Settler's Rest B&B and Game Lodge 2.22

Settlers' Rest is a privately-run game farm in the Malaria-free bushveld of the Eastern Cape. Settlers' Rest offers a home away from home and is an ideal destination for the whole family to get back to nature.

Situated along the Assegaai River in the Seven Fountains district just off the N2 Settlerr's Rest is a mere 30 kilometres from Grahamstown and easily accessible to most vehicles.

In 2013 two Cousins, Michael, Murray and their families set out on an adventure and acquired a small game farm just outside of Grahamstown. They refurbished the old existing lodge into a fully-equipped lodge, totally self-sufficient, reliant on solar power and borehole water.

Settlers' Rest can accommodate groups up to 10 people in their fully equipped 2 bedroomed main Lodge, as well as 3 individual chalets (bedroom and bathroom only.

In 2015 Michael's father in law Herbert became a partner in the farm and an additional piece of land was acquired forming the intimate 401 hectare reserve.

Guests are welcome to embark on self-drive game and/or bird viewing around the farm. Enjoy walking or cycling, or merely relax in its tranquil surroundings.
